Tarzan Lazatin Profile

He is the General Manager of the Lazatin Consolidated Vinegar, the Amalgamated Builders and Contractors, Incorporated and the Mabuhay Consolidated. Also, he stands as the Vice President for Finance and the Assistant Treasurer of one of the well-acknowledged colleges in Angeles City aiming for academic excellence—the Republic Central Colleges.

Likewise, to confirm his management prowess, he became the Director and General Manager of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) from 1986 to 1987.

His efficiency as a public servant was confirmed when he served as the First District of Pampanga Congressman for three consecutive terms from 1987 to 1998 and has proven the continuous trust of his fellow cabalens to his responsible political administration being the first and only three termer mayor of Angeles City from 1998 to June 30, 2007.

Not failing to mention that it was in 1998 that he has proven fidelity to the Philippine Media as he was given the title as the Most Outstanding Mayor by the Asosasyon ng Komentarista at Anawnser ng Pilipinas.

Under his incumbency as Angeles City Mayor, 15,000 families were given decent home through his socialized housing project.

While in November 2003, he initiated the creation of the Business-One-Stop-Shop, which was later certified by the International Standards for Organization (ISO) Certification of the Government Operations, making the Angeles City as the first local government unit outside Metro Manila to be ISO-certified.

He was also cited as the Outstanding City Mayor in the Field of Social Services by the Association of Local Social Welfare and Development Officers in the Philippines, Inc. for two consecutive years from 2005 to 2006.

With his exemplary dedicated public service, he became a finalist in the 2006 world City Mayor, wherein there are only two Filipinos who were included.

After serving as City Mayor for nine years, he was elected anew as Congressional Representative of the First District of Pampanga on 2007.

His skills in the field of legislation was proven anew when he awarded as one of the 30 Most Outstanding Congressmen by the Congress Magazine and Global News Network for two consecutive years in 2008 and 2009.
